What you Have

This week will be a week I will never forget.  I say all this because this week we were able to go over seas and take a missionary trip to Abaco, Bahamas.  We did a numerous amount of things there that we and them will both never forget.  While on this trip we took a visit to a little town called Peas and Mud.  Now before I explain peas and mud, let me say, people over here in America think they have it bad?  They haven’t seen bad until they go over there.  We Amercains complain, and say that we don’t have this and/or we don’t have that.  But we you go to Abaco, they have nothing, and at they same time you don’t see them complain like we do.  These kid’s wore the same clothes all week, some of them had to wear the other gender’s clothing because that is all they had.  Some of them never wore shoes and they smelt bad.  But you never heard them complain.  We did a little vacation bible school in the middle of their village and at the end of service we passed out candy and stickers.  And it was quite amazing how they respond.  Yes Sir! Yes Mam! And they were so loving and caring even though they didn’t’ have much.  They were respectful and looked after each other.  That’s the mindset that we as Americans need to take on and just learn to be appreciate of what you have, not what you don’t have.
